A lecture on ‘Absolutism in Europe with Special Reference to France’ was delivered by Dr. Arvind Sinha, Associate Professor, Centre for Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, on 13th February, 2009 organized under the aegis of the History Society. The lecture was well attended by the students and teachers of the Department. The student evinced a lot of interest in the audio visual presentation which accompanied the lecture. A fruitful academic interaction between Dr. Sinha and the students followed the lecture.
A trip to the historical monument ‘Purana Qila’ and to the ‘National Museum’ was organized for the students. The student’s response was overwhelming. It enabled them to have a better understanding of the evolution of historic Delhi and the rich cultural heritage of India.
In October 2008, the college participated in the MISSION GREEN EARTH, the United Nation's Millennium Campaign and the campaign of the Art of Living. A pledge was taken in the college premises by the teachers, non- teaching staff & students to join hands in the greening of Mother Earth to counter Global Warming.
