Admission of Reserved/Special Categories

Admission of following categories of students shall be done as per procedure laid down below:

(a) Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) Candidates

Students belonging to the SC/ST Categories, who are registered for the course of their choice with the University of Delhi, shall be granted admission by the college provided they satisfy the criterion of marks as per cut off list notified by the college and such other conditions as stipulated by the college.

It should be noted that:

Admission for the students belonging to SC/ST category against the reservation shall be done as per guidelines issued by the University of Delhi in this regard. Students belonging to the OBC Category, who are registered for the course of their choice with the University of Delhi, shall be granted admission by the college provided they satisfy the criterion of marks as per cut off list notified by the college.

  • Original and Xerox copy of SC/ST certificate of the applicant.
  • In case SC/ST Certificate is not verified online, SC/ST Certificate of father is required.
(b) Other Backward Castes (OBC)

Admission for the students belonging to Other Backward Castes (OBC) category against the reservation shall be done as per guidelines issued by the University of Delhi in this regard. Students belonging to the OBC Category, who are registered for the course of their choice with the University of Delhi, shall be granted admission by the college provided they satisfy the criterion of marks as per cut off list notified by the college.

It should be noted that

  1. The Caste Certificate must be in the name of applicant.
  2. The caste should be included in the Central list of OBC.
  3. Certificate must mention the non-creamy layer status of the applicant.
  4. The OBC non-creamy layer status certificate issued for the Financial year 2018-19 shall be valid only as per Office Memorandum No. 36036/2/2013-Estt. (RES)-1 dated 31-03-2016 issued by DoPT, Govt. of India. Please note the validity of OBC (non-creamy layer)
    Certificate shall be for the financial year 2018-19 and should beissued after 31.3.2019.
  5. Proof of Income (any of the following)
    In case of father/mother being salaried
    • Form 16 issued by employer
    • Copy of income tax return for the assessment year 2018-19
    • In other case:
    • Copy of income tax return for the assessment year 2018-19
  6. If a candidate does not have the valid OBC non-creamy layer certificate, i.e. issued for the financial year 2018-19, he/she shall not be admitted against the seats reserved for OBC.
(c)Economically Weaker Section (EWS):

Original and Xerox copy of Income and Asset certificate of the applicant, issued from DM/ADM/DC/ADC/SDM/Tehsildar/SDO or any competent authority prescribed as per notification no. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) issued by Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Govt. of India, dated March 31, 2019 or later, certifying the applicant can claim reservation under this category.

It should be noted that:

  • The names of applicants claiming reservation under this category must match with the names that appear on their corresponding School Board qualifying certificates.
  • Similarly their parent's names must match in both sets of certificates.
  • Proof of Income (any of the following)
In case of father/mother being salaried
  • Form 16 issued by employer
  • Copy of income tax return for the assessment year 2018-19 containing the name of employer In other case:
  • Copy of income tax return of last three years i.e., 2018-19, 2017-18 and 2016-17.
(d) Persons with Disability (PwD)

As per university guidelines, 5% seats are reserved for the persons with disability (PwD) candidates for admission to various courses in the college. Such students, who are registered for the course of their choice with the University of Delhi, shall be granted admission by the college provided they satisfy the criterion of marks as per cut off list notified by the college and such other conditions as stipulated by the college.

Note:

PwD candidates who secure admission on merit in general category would not be counted in 5% quota. Note: The total number of seats in each Course and number of seats for various reserved categories including SC/ST/OBC/EWS and PwD students would be as per guidelines issued by University of Delhi. (d) Foreign Students

Admission of foreign students is handled by the Foreign Students' Advisor of the University of Delhi.
Note: Candidates belonging to the above categories are requested to get their name registered with the Foreign Students' Office in the University of Delhi. It should also note that the foreign national seeking admission in the college shall have to get themselves registered with the Foreign Students Registry (FSR) in compliance with the schedule notified by the FSR. No Foreign students will be admitted directly by the college.For more information visit website www.du.ac.in .

(e) Children/War Widows (CW)

Admission of children and widows of the officers and men of the armed forces (including para military personnel killed/disabled in action or those who died/were disabled while on duty) will be done as per guidelines issued by the University of Delhi in this regard. Upto 5% seats are reserved for each course under this category.The detailed guidelines in this regard are available on University of Delhi website, i.e. www.du.ac.in .

(f) Wards of Kashmiri Migrants (KM)

Students belonging to the Kashmiri Migrants Category who are registered for the course of their choice with the University of Delhi, shall be granted admission by the college provided they satisfy the criterion of marks as per cut off list notified by the college.
