Prof Himadri Roy has been teaching queer studies for more than decade in the School of Gender and Development Studies of Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. He has also taught English Literature at the University of Delhi before joining Indira Gandhi National Open University. He has published books on sexuality and cinema , one of them being Reel and the Real: Portrayal of Gay Men in Bollywood Cinema (2020). He has contributed many articles in international and national journals on queer studies, sexuality and cinema, sexuality and literature and feminisma and Literature.
